Who we are
China Medical Services is the international-patient brand of Suzhou Fenglin International Travel Service Co., Ltd., a licensed travel and exit-and-entry services company that has been operating since 2007.
We are not a hospital and we are not a medical provider. We are your coordination partner on the ground in China: we help you find a suitable hospital, arrange a trained bilingual companion to accompany you, and take care of the visa, travel, language and day-to-day logistics around your trip — so you can focus on your health.
A note from our founder
I came to this work from an unusual starting point. For years, my job was to sit across from China's leading physicians — interviewing the surgeons and specialists whose names most patients only ever see on a hospital directory. I learned how the best departments actually work, who the real experts are, and how a top Chinese hospital cares for a patient from the first appointment to the final follow-up.
The turning point came a few years back, when my younger brother was studying in the United States. A classmate's family reached out to him: a relative needed heart surgery and didn't know where to turn. Because of my background, I was able to help — I arranged for them to be seen at Zhongshan Hospital in Shanghai, one of China's finest cardiac centers, for a coronary stent procedure. It went well. The care was excellent, the cost was a fraction of what they had expected, and the family never forgot it.
That one introduction changed everything. Every year since, that same family has referred friends and neighbors to China for treatment — and they welcomed him just as warmly during his years there. It was a small circle of trust: one good experience, repaid in kindness on both sides of the ocean.
By 2020, that handful of introductions had grown into something I wanted to do properly — on a licensed footing, not case by case. So that year I took over Suzhou Fenglin International Travel Service, a licensed agency established in 2007, and built it into a dedicated platform for international patients: hospital coordination, bilingual medical companions, and full visa and travel support under one accountable roof.
I found that I loved this work — connecting people who need world-class care with the Chinese hospitals and doctors I know and trust. And the timing has never been better. With China's new visa-free entry and steadily expanding transit-visa policies, more international patients are choosing China every year, for treatment that is advanced, affordable and remarkably humane.

Every companion we arrange is identity-verified before they are ever assigned to a patient. You are only accompanied by a checked, accountable person — never a stranger.
GPS check-in at every step
From airport pickup to each hospital visit, your companion checks in with GPS location stamps at every stage of the day — so their presence with you is confirmed, not just promised.
Fees held until you're served
We collect the companion fee on your behalf and hold it until your service is complete — the companion is only paid once the job is done. Every engagement is monitored by the platform from start to finish.

Why patients need a partner on the ground
Reaching a top Chinese hospital as an international patient is rarely as simple as booking a flight. A few practical barriers make independent access very difficult — and they are exactly the barriers we exist to solve.
The medical (S1 / S2) visa
Travelling to China for treatment usually means applying for a private-affairs visa — an S2 for a short stay (annotated for medical treatment) or an S1 for longer care. Approval hinges on an official invitation or admission letter from a Grade 3A hospital, a document that is very hard to obtain from overseas without someone representing you locally.
The hospital “payment loop”
Public hospitals in China work on a pay-before-each-step basis, and foreign mobile-payment accounts (WeChat Pay / Alipay) face strict transaction caps. Settling a large treatment bill directly from abroad is often impractical without local support.
Language & registration
Registration, consultations and hospital paperwork are almost entirely in Chinese. A trained bilingual companion turns an unfamiliar system into a guided, step-by-step experience.
Insurance & billing codes
Chinese public hospitals use a local billing standard rather than the international ICD-10 codes many insurers expect, which can complicate reimbursement. We help you gather the documentation your insurer needs.
